Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I in Dallas, TX to maintain HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, perform routine maintenance, and respond to tenant requests under supervision.

You will document inspections, assist with preventive tasks, coordinate with contractors, and follow safety rules during standard business hours in the office, on-site.

2–3 years related experience and valid licenses are preferred; this is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; BAS operation experience.
• Basic skills with MS Office Outlook and work order apps.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and upscale issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; comply with OSHA/NFPA regulations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; work with senior engineers.
• Develop technical skills through mentorship and professional programs.
