Job summary

Omega Law Group is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to oversee HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, ensuring safe, efficient building operations and preventive maintenance.

You will monitor building automation, diagnose issues, coordinate with contractors, and uphold codes and safety standards. 3–5 years of related experience, knowledge of energy management, and strong problem-solving and communication skills are required. Opportunities for growth available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in building service engineering or facilities maintenance
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
• Experience with building automation and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics
• Familiarity with local codes, safety, and environmental regulations
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff and vendors
• Preferred: HVAC license, EPA 608, or refrigeration certifications
• Preferred: energy management or large commercial facility operations experience

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, inspect, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems
• Monitor and optimize building automation and control systems for efficiency
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and keep records
• Respond to service requests and after-hours emergencies
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for major projects
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety, and environmental standards
• Suggest energy-efficiency improvements and sustainability initiatives
