Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and repairing building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life-safety components. The role sits within Engineering and Technical Services and supports preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.

You will ensure compliance with codes and safety directives, manage energy use, and assist with preventive maintenance while supporting a safe, efficient workplace aligned with CBRE's values.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years related experience; universal CFC preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• Experience using Microsoft Office; strong organizational and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives for building operations.
• Maintain an energy management program and ensure efficient system operation.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review building systems to ensure operation meets design and environmental specs.
• Apply standard principles to complex assignments and share knowledge with others.
• Lead by example and support CBRE rising values and teamwork.
• Impact customer, operational, and project activities within the team.
