Job summary

Stantec is offering a Buildings internship in San Diego for Mechanical Engineering students who are at least in their second year. You will assist engineers and designers on real-world building projects, using AutoCAD and Revit to draft HVAC and plumbing drawings, interpret plans, and participate in a team-based intern design project.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least second year of Mechanical Engineering by start date.
• Hands-on internship with guidance on tasks and smaller projects.
• In-person site visits required during internship.

Responsibilities

• Work with Building Mechanical Engineers and Designers on tasks and smaller projects.
• Interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural and civil plans.
• Perform engineering calculations using HVAC design software and Excel.
• Prepare HVAC and plumbing drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Contribute to the Summer Intern Design Project with other interns.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams.
