Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP seeks a Building Structural Intern to join the Structural/Marine Group in Baltimore, MD. Interns will contribute to a variety of projects, including buildings and waterfront facilities, while gaining experience in structural analysis and design.

You will work with engineers and architects in a mentoring culture, receiving training in design, drafting, and construction document development for diverse markets.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an ABET accredited Civil Engineering bachelor or master program preferably with Structural Concentration.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with structural design and analysis software (RISA, STAAD, etc.) a plus.
• Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interns will join our collaborative team of engineers and architects on a variety of challenging projects including buildings, industrial facilities, water/wastewater plants, and waterfront facilities.
• Interns will receive training in structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials.
• Interns will assist in developing concept designs and constructing documents for clients across markets.

Interns will join our collaborative team of engineers and architects on a variety of challenging projects, including buildings, industrial facilities, water/wastewater plants, and waterfront facilities. WRA has a strong mentoring culture and a focus on staff development.

Interns will receive training in structural analysis and design for a variety of building types and materials. Interns will also be trained in developing concept designs and creating construction documents for clients across a broad range of markets.

Requirements:

• Must be currently enrollment in an ABET accredited Civil Engineering bachelor or master program preferably with Structural Concentration.

The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $21.50 - $24.50. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
