Job summary

Tarrant County is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to care for county buildings, performing preventive maintenance and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks.

You will plan and execute building projects, supervise contractors when needed, and ensure safety and compliance. A high school diploma and two years of maintenance experience are required, along with a valid driver's license. Reliable flexibility for shifts may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of commercial building operations, life safety systems, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Plans repair, building or remodeling projects accordingly. Orders needed supplies.
• Performs remodeling tasks for County buildings which may include one of the following skill sets being used by the incumbent: painting, carpentry or electrical work.
• Repairs and maintains HVAC systems and associated building equipment.
• Assists with moving furniture and office equipment.
• Sets up furniture in specific configurations for special events.
• Assists and supervises the work of contractors and vendors.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
