Job summary

Touchmark at Harwood Grove in Fargo, ND seeks a Building Services Director to oversee the entire Building Services department, coordinating projects across the community and ensuring safety, compliance, and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in facilities management, a strong budget stewardship track record, and a deep understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related systems. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or combination of education and experience in the trade services.
• 5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
• Record of responsible budgeting for multi-faceted operations.
• Experience in large campus management and supervising staff for 5+ years.
• Strong understanding of building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, Life Safety, carpentry, painting, flooring, etc.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire Building Services department on campus.
• Coordinate and supervise Building Services projects across the community.
• Manage refurbishment, landscaping, housekeeping, maintenance, and installations.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal codes and maintain the department budget.

We are currently seeking a candidate with a passion for excellent customer service and outstanding hospitality to join our team as the Building Services Director.As the Building Services Director, you will have the daily opportunity to distinguish yourself by taking the time to be a positive presence in the lives of residents and their family members! You will be responsible for overseeing the entire Building Services department on our campus. You will coordinate and supervise the various Building Services projects throughout our community. This includes things like apartment and home refurbishment; landscaping and grounds keeping; housekeeping; electrical maintenance and installation; heating and cooling systems; ordering project parts/supplies; ensuring all state and federal codes are met; and maintaining the Building Services budget.

Additionally, Successful Candidates Will Have

• Bachelor's degree preferred or combination of education and experience in the trade services
• 5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
• Successful previous record of responsible stewardship of a multi-faceted budget
• Previous positions must demonstrate increasingly responsible experience in large campus management and 5+ years’ experience managing staff
• Strong understanding of building systems to include: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, Life Safety, carpentry, painting, floor coverings, etc.
• Possession of valid driver's License
