Job summary

Town of Eagle seeks a Building Official to manage enforcement of adopted building codes and town ordinances within Eagle, CO. The role leads a small Community Development team, oversees inspections, permits, and occupancy processes, and ensures safe, compliant construction.

Qualifications

• Must have strong management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction drawings and codes.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating building activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of Building Department policies.
• Schedule and conduct inspections of buildings and structures.
• Prepare and issue building permits and Certificates of Occupancy.
• Review and ensure compliance with land use and code requirements.
• Provide guidance on code interpretations and provide staff support.
