Cumberland Supply in Newville, PA is seeking a Building Material Sales Representative to leverage framing and building materials knowledge in a customer-focused sales and estimating role.

You will help residential and light commercial customers select materials, prepare quotes, and coordinate with suppliers to keep projects moving. This position offers steady year-round work with benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in framing/building materials or related field.
• Ability to read basic building plans.
• Strong math/measurement skills for takeoffs and estimates.
• Familiar with estimating software/portals (Paradigm/SmartBuild/STAX).
• Customer service and sales mindset.

Responsibilities

• Create material lists from plans and specs.
• Complete accurate material takeoffs for residential and light commercial projects.
• Prepare quotes and estimates based on requirements, pricing, product availability, and lead times.
• Assist customers in person, by phone, and by email with product selection and quantities.
• Revise takeoffs and quotes as project details change and follow up on quotes.
• Maintain accurate customer, quote, and order information throughout the sales process.
• Coordinate with suppliers, purchasing, production, and dispatch to keep projects moving.
• Stay current on Cumberland Supply's products, pricing, and options for informed service.
