Job summary

Cumberland Supply in Newville, PA is seeking a Building Material Sales Representative to leverage your framing, construction and materials knowledge in a sales and estimating role. You will create material lists, prepare quotes, and help residential and light commercial customers select products.

Qualifications

• 3 years in framing, building materials, construction, or related industry.
• Ability to read basic building plans.
• Strong math and measurement skills for takeoffs and estimates.
• Willingness to learn product details and methods.

Responsibilities

• Create material lists from customer plans and specs.
• Prepare quotes and estimates based on project needs, inventory, and lead times.
• Assist customers in person, by phone, and by email with product selection and quantities.
• Revise takeoffs and quotes as details change and follow up on quotes.
• Maintain accurate customer, quote, and order information.
• Coordinate with suppliers, purchasing, production, and dispatch to keep projects moving.
• Stay current on Cumberland Supply products and pricing to provide knowledgeable service.
