Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Components Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with local contractors, builders, and remodelers. You will sell a full line of building materials and installed services, manage each job, and keep customer data up to date while visiting job sites as needed.

The role offers salary plus commission with uncapped earnings, and growth opportunities within a multi-brand, family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Components Sales experience required.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required.

Responsibilities

• Sell our full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage each sold job and maintain up-to-date information on customers' product use and trends; visit job sites as needed.
• Maintain schedules and communicate effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
