Job summary

Wisconsin Building Supply, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Wisconsin. You will assist with new and existing customer sales, provide product support to outside sales, and prepare quotes and dimension information both in person and over the phone.

You will respond to inquiries, initiate sales calls, enter various service requests, coordinate special orders and deliveries, and manage project schedules with customers and field staff.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in building material industry.
• 1–3 years of inside sales experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate computer, calculator and cash register.
• Knowledge of building supplies, applications, related equipment, and/or construction industry.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries about product selection, orders, prices, quotations, deliveries and installations.
• Initiate calls to customers to generate sales.
• Enter work orders, credit returns, return authorizations, pick tickets, and service requests.
• Coordinate purchase and delivery of special products and pricing specifics.
• Manage project schedules with outside sales, jobsites and customers.
• Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
• Research credits, returns, and late payments as needed.
• Resolve back orders and billing issues; assist with price lists and discounts.
• Develop and grow professional relationships with customers.
• Resolve jobsite issues and customer problems.

Wisconsin Building Supply operates locations throughout Wisconsin supplying windows, doors, roofing, siding, millwork, builders hardware, columns, trim, mouldings, cabinetry, countertops, decking, railing, gypsum, lumber & plywood, insulation, and additional building materials.

A Brief Overview

The Inside Sales Representative assists with new and existing customer sales and provides product support to outside sales representatives. This position provides quotes and product dimension information, both in person and over the phone.

What You Will Do

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders, prices and quotations, complaints, and scheduling of deliveries and installations.
• Initiate telephone calls to customers to generate sales.
• Obtain orders from customers and sales representatives; enter work order, credit return, return authorization, pick ticket, and service request; file paperwork accordingly.
• Coordinate purchase and delivery of special products. Obtains information on pricing specifications, uses and availability.
• Manage schedules for project by coordinating with outside sales, jobsites, and assigned customers.
• Maintains stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
• Researches credits, returns, and late payments as needed.
• Check on back orders and resolve any outstanding issues; solve billing problems and compile data for closing.
• Handle special orders and advanced pricing; assist with pricing and special price lists.
• Develop and grow professional relationships with customers.
• Resolve jobsite issues and customer problems.

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in building material industry with basic knowledge of product and application required.

• Knowledge of building supplies, applications, related equipment, and/or construction industry.
• Good interpersonal and customer relations skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Should be familiar with inventory and inventory control.
• Must be able to walk throughout yards, plants and offices.
