Job summary

Higginbotham Brothers, a division of US LBM Holdings, is seeking a Counter Sales Representative in Texas. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, handle payments, and provide product guidance. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, timely responses to inquiries, and maintaining an inviting showroom.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of building materials knowledge. Weekend and evening availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of building material knowledge and sales experience preferred.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand basic math and measurements.
• Willingness to work Saturday and evening schedules.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with questions about merchandise and promotions.
• Process sales at the register and handle various payment types.
• Provide initial responses on product selection, pricing, quotes, and deliveries.
• Assist showroom customers with product selection and record-keeping.
• Maintain showroom appearance and stock levels on the floor and in stockroom.
• Create invoices, work orders and input data into the computer system.
• Issue refunds or credits with manager approval when needed.
• Attend training to enhance knowledge of product offerings.
• Support inventory and physical counts as needed.
