Higginbotham Brothers is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to assist customers and contractors in our retail environment. You will take orders, answer questions, and process payments at the counter, while maintaining showroom appearance and stock levels.

The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy in invoicing, and knowledge of building materials. Availability for Saturdays and basic math/computer skills are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years building materials knowledge and sales experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and handle cash transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers; answer questions on merchandise and pricing.
• Process sales at the register and handle various payment methods.
• Create invoices and tickets; enter orders and pricing data.
• Assist with showroom maintenance and stock levels on floor and in stockroom.
• Purchase special-order products and obtain pricing/specifications.
• May assist with yard/warehouse operations and forklift safety after training.
• Attend trainings and maintain knowledge of full product offering.
