Job summary

The Salvation Army in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles, and to handle groundskeeping to keep the campus looking its best.

Responsibilities include minor plumbing and carpentry, cleaning and sanitizing, floor care, and furniture movement. A valid state driver's license is required, with preference for related maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in handling minor building and maintenance repairs and good skill in the use of hand and power tools.
• Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

What We Look For In You

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
