Job summary

Schweitzer is seeking a Maintenance Technician on-site at Snowshoe, WV. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance for equipment, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical components, with teamwork across trades to keep systems safe and functional.

You'll perform inspections, document work orders, and ensure compliance with codes and standards. Starting immediately, with year-round flex schedules and on-mountain perks for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of maintenance experience or relevant vocational certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance: service equipment per manufacturer, federal, state, and insurance requirements; complete maintenance logs and records.
• Troubleshoot issues: address malfunctions quickly, test machines, inspect equipment and buildings.
• Documentation: record work performed, manage work orders for billing, maintain historical records.
• Monitoring and reporting: test equipment, notify supervisors of abnormalities, follow manuals.
• Safety and compliance: adhere to safety policies, keep areas clean, use PPE, follow standards.
• Inventory and training: check inventory, attend trainings, stay updated with trade publications.
• Guest and staff support: assist guests with equipment issues and support other departments.
• Emergency preparedness: know locations of critical systems and maintain hot tub and Saflok systems.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Driving

• Have a valid Driver’s license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program

Preferred Experience

• 2 years as a maintenance worker or similar vocational certification

Physical Requirements

• May require lifting and moving up to 75 pounds.
