About The Position

The Building Maintenance Technician will support the club with basic repairs and general and seasonal maintenance services for all aspects of the operation, including offices, public spaces, restroom facilities, grounds, and other areas as needed.

• Performs general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operation
• Helps maintain cleanliness and appearance of the entire facility and grounds
• Inspects building and grounds to ensure safety, identify problems, and perform corrective measures
• Reviews requests for service, determines whether problems can be resolved in-house, sets priorities, and works with other maintenance staff
• Assists with scheduling contractors when necessary and managing jobs to completion
• Responsible for annual preventative maintenance plan and operations manual updates
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Responsible for stock control and utilization of maintenance materials
• Ensures members and guests have a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment
• Reports all incidents/accidents and emergency situations to the General Manager immediately

Requirements

• 20-30 hours per week availability
• 2-3 years of building maintenance experience
• Commercial building maintenance, handywork, or construction experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, building maintenance, and repairs
• Excellent customer service skills, respectful to membership and teammates
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, climb stairs, and use ladders regularly
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team
• Regular and reliable attendance required
• Reliable transportation required
