Job summary

AEP is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician to perform skilled work on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical building systems. You will maintain, repair, and upgrade facilities, coordinating with contractors and handling documentation.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in building maintenance or 3+ years in related trades, a valid driver's license, and CAST certification. Overtime and travel may be required; indoor/outdoor work in all weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Building Maintenance Technician B or at least three (3) years equivalent experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. CAST test required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on HVAC-related equipment, emergency generators, and building systems.
• Perform general building maintenance including drywall, painting, ceilings, roofing, and other items.
• Monitor work and ensure compliance with contract terms, safety, and company rules.
• Perform housekeeping duties and assist in inventory management.
• Procure quality parts cost-effectively and maintain records.
