We are seeking a skilled maintenance manager specializing in industrial building maintenance and Ammonia/CO₂ refrigeration systems!

Join Lineage Logistics at our rapidly expanding, fully automated cold storage facility in Hobart, IN—spanning over 550,000 sq. ft. with 95,000+ pallet positions. We’re hiring a hands-on Building Maintenance Manager to oversee facility systems, refrigeration (Ammonia/CO₂), automation infrastructure, and vendor coordination across both the existing site and a new 188,000 sq. ft. expansion, ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced 3PL environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Management: Direct and develop a team of technicians, ensuring optimal performance and skill development.
  • Refrigeration Oversight: Oversee Ammonia and CO₂ refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, and temperature-controlled zones. Manage preventive maintenance, valve maintenance, and oil/filter changes, and coordinate with external partners for system support.
  • CAPEX & Budgeting: Develop and manage capital expenditure and maintenance budgets to support operational efficiency.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Implement and refine maintenance programs to maximize uptime and system reliability.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years in industrial maintenance, with strong exposure to facility infrastructure, refrigeration systems, and warehouse operations.
  • Leadership: Proven experience managing and developing technical teams, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Ammonia refrigeration systems is required; familiarity with CO₂ systems is preferred. Strong understanding of refrigeration components including compressors, valves, evaporators, and diagnostics. PSM experience is required; refrigeration certifications (e.g., RETA, CARO, CIRO) are a plus.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience in CAPEX planning, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex automated systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
