Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks a Building Inspector to serve as a key field representative ensuring construction activities comply with approved plans, codes, and local ordinances.

You will inspect residential, commercial, and industrial projects, document findings, and maintain safety and code adherence across all phases of construction in a fast-paced environment. Travel and outdoor work are required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold one or more active ICC or ACI certifications.
• 2-5 years of experience demonstrating knowledge of construction.
• Represent BLE in a professional manner with the public, developers, and staff.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Field Inspections: Conduct structural inspections of concrete, rebar, steel, masonry, and soils.
• Testing & Sampling: Perform field testing of materials (concrete slump, air, cylinders, soil compaction).
• Plan & Spec Review: Read and interpret blueprints, WPS, and geotechnical reports.
• Discrepancy Reporting: Document deviations to contractor, engineer, and project manager.
• Documentation: Submit daily field reports and final structural sign-off for code compliance.
