The City of Saint Paul Department of Safety & Inspections is hiring an individual to perform full performance inspections on new and existing structures for compliance with and the enforcement of state and local building codes, zoning ordinances, contract specifications, and safety regulations.

Here’s what you can expect to do:

1. Investigate complaints regarding violations of building code, issues correction orders, stops work orders, and issues citations as necessary.
2. Provide information and interpretation of State Building Code and the Saint Paul Legislative Code to the public, staff, and leadership.
3. Evaluate new construction methods and materials for meeting compliance.
