Job summary

FCUSD in Rancho Cordova, CA is seeking a Building & Grounds Utility Worker under general supervision to perform routine custodial duties and specialized grounds maintenance, operate and service mechanical systems, and handle related tasks.

This position requires two years of custodial, gardening or maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and a background check; pesticide license desirable; pre-employment medical evaluation; TB test; and compliance training.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in custodial, gardening, grounds, maintenance, or related work.
• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Pesticide Applicators License with proper endorsements desirable.
• Upon Conditional Offer of Employment: DOJ and FBI Criminal Background Check
• TB Test within the last 60 days (Education Code 49406, Assembly Bill 1667)
• Pre-Employment Physical Evaluation conducted through the District (Minimum 50 pounds)

Distinguishing Characteristics

This position is characterized by a wide variety of duties - a combination of custodian, grounds person, and maintenance-type functions. A higher degree of technical skills and abilities for operation and limited maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment is required than found in other maintenance classes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Two years of experience in custodial, gardening, grounds, maintenance, or related work.
• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Pesticide Applicators License with proper endorsements desirable.
