Job summary

Weld County School District RE-8 is seeking a Custodian for the Administration Building. The role covers general cleaning, equipment maintenance, and support for students and staff during the 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM shift.

Responsibilities include cleaning various areas, floor care, snow removal, and delivering supplies. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and prior custodial experience is preferred, with an emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to move large pieces of furniture, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and be a positive team member.
• Ability to handle and maintain custodial equipment and materials.
• Ability to lift heavy containers in and out of a van.

Responsibilities

• Checks and secures building at start/end of shift for safety and cleanliness.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other areas to district standards.
• Sweeps, mops, buffs, strips, and waxes floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstery, blinds.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, sills.
• Removes graffiti and cleans glass areas.
• Sets up and breaks down chairs, tables, and equipment.
• Clear snow and spread sand/ice melting chemicals.
• Performs grounds-keeping and debris removal.
• Receives deliveries and assists in unloading and storing supplies.
• Delivers supplies to classrooms and restrooms.
• Empties wastebaskets and supports recycling program.
