You bring 8+ years in building envelope or restoration work, a degree in Architecture or Engineering, and a PE/Architect license preferred.

Role Summary

This position sits within a Building Envelope / Façade Engineering division and supports a broad range of responsibilities related to façade inspection, restoration, and enclosure consulting. The role combines technical leadership, field inspection, project management, and team oversight, with a strong emphasis on existing buildings and safety programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the management and growth of façade inspection and safety‑related services.
• Lead and manage a team of industrial rope access inspectors and façade inspection projects.
• Perform periodic rope‑access inspections as part of ongoing responsibilities.
• Forensic investigation and condition assessments
• Repair design development and detailing
• Preparation of bid documentation
• Construction phase support and administration
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of exterior wall and enclosure systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams on:
  • Proposal development
  • Budget tracking
  • Project planning and resource coordination
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Advise architects and owners on building enclosure performance, durability, constructability, and compliance.
• Maintain clear, well‑written technical reports documenting inspection findings and project activity.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, and quality standards to ensure successful outcomes.
• Review and provide oversight of restoration staff reports and project progress.
• Assist with staff resourcing, technical initiatives, and division‑level planning.
• Support training, mentoring, and professional development of junior staff.
• Occasionally prepare and present technical papers or case studies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in building envelope, façade, or restoration projects
• Proven experience with industrial rope access preferred
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Engineering
• Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer preferred
• Strong understanding of architectural systems, design principles, and local building codes
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with technical report writing and standard office software
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
• Strong problem‑solving, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Ability to balance technical detail with broader project and business objectives
