Job summary

Socotec's Building Envelope division seeks a seasoned professional to lead our Industry Rope Access inspectors and oversee FISP projects, inspecting exterior walls and coordinating remediation efforts.

The role requires 8+ years in building envelope/restoration, experience with industrial rope access, and a degree in Architecture or Engineering; strong communication, report writing, and team leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8+ years working with building envelope/enclosure and restoration projects.
• Experience with industrial rope access.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manage our team of Industry Rope Access (IRA) inspectors and FISP projects.
• Consult on facade design for enhancement or maintenance projects.
• Prepare bid documents and repair details; lead Construction Administration.
• Provide cross-functional support and client relationship management.
• Mentor staff and oversee restoration division reports and progress.
• Occasional presentation of white papers/case studies to technical teams.

This person will be part of our Building Envelope division and will be involve in a variety of general functions, including but not limited toManage our team of Industry Rope Access (IRA) inspectors and FISP projects; Performing periodic rope inspections should be expected as part the role and responsibility of this positionConsult on existing facade design for enhancement or maintenance type projects: forensic review and analysis, Bid Document and repair detail preparation, direct Bidding Phase, and Construction Administration. Well versed in exterior wall construction.Work with various departments on our integrated internal services (proposing writing, internal tracking of our budgetary project requirements).Communicate effectively and establish relationships with clients and job related management teams.
