Job summary

The Falcon Group is seeking an experienced Building Envelope Specialist to lead and support projects focused on exterior envelope systems for multifamily, commercial, and institutional buildings. You will perform technical evaluations, develop detailed reports, and oversee bidding, construction administration, and observation while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, Construction Technology, or related field.
• 5–10+ years of hands-on building envelope evaluations, design, and construction oversight.
• Strong experience with cladding systems (fiber cement, ACM, stucco/EIFS, adhered masonry veneer, rainscreens).
• Ability to write clear technical reports and present findings to boards, managers, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site evaluations of roofs, cladding, fenestration, balconies, waterproofing systems, and related envelope components.
• Develop repair and replacement design documents, including plans, details, and CSI‑formatted specifications.
• Prepare bid packages, lead pre‑bid meetings, respond to RFIs, and assist in contractor selection.
• Conduct construction observation visits, review submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and payment applications.
• Mentor junior engineers, architects, and field staff; contribute to internal standards and training materials.
