Job summary

The Falcon Group is seeking a Director of Building Envelope in Warren, NJ to lead engineering evaluations, repair strategies, and construction oversight for multifamily projects. You will develop drawings and specifications, manage field investigations, and coordinate with senior engineers on complex envelope and structural rehabilitation tasks.

The ideal candidate brings PE or RA credentials, 10+ years of related experience, and a strong background in roof, façade, balcony and deck systems,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) is required.
• Building envelope certifications (IIBEC or ICC) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering evaluations of building envelope and structural systems including roofs, façades, balconies, decks and related elements.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing existing conditions and recommended repair strategies.
• Assist in development of repair drawings, details, and specifications under senior supervision.
• Prepare written correspondence to clients, contractors, and code officials.
• Manage technical records, drawings, test data, field photos, and project documentation.
• Review scopes, budgets, and schedules with supervising engineers to ensure deliverables.
• Assist in construction administration including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
