Job summary

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc is seeking a Building Enclosure Intern to support enclosure consulting, design review, and field investigations. The internship bridges architecture, structural engineering, and materials science, ideal for students interested in building science and performance.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Science or related field.
Completion of sophomore year or higher by start of internship.
Strong attention to detail and interest in building systems.

Responsibilities

Assist in evaluating building envelope systems for new construction and existing buildings.
Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and document field conditions.
Review architectural drawings and specifications for compliance with best practices.
Participate in enclosure testing procedures and field documentation.
Prepare technical reports, inspection checklists, and field notes.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and SSR design teams to resolve enclosure challenges.
