Job summary

Colliers International in Marina, CA is seeking a Building Engineer to ensure maintenance systems run efficiently and safeguard clients and properties. You will respond to requests, prioritize work orders, and perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance programs.

You will manage relationships with property managers and suppliers, track inventory and schedules, and maintain logs for HVAC, electrical, and general building operations while controlling costs and downtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in building/property maintenance or engineering.
• Solid working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• On-call availability for after-hours/weekend emergencies.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including painting, rust removal, minor repairs, parking lot upkeep, and signage.
• Maintain daily operating logs for HVAC, fans, graphs, utility meters and general complaints.
• Ensure building systems and tenant service requests are handled efficiently at the most economical cost.
• Demonstrate understanding of operating procedures and proper chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.
