Job summary

Colliers in Marina, CA is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain and optimize our maintenance systems, ensure safety, respond to client requests, and manage work orders and inspections. You will develop preventative maintenance programs and maintain accurate records.

You will collaborate with property managers and suppliers, monitor energy usage, and stay on top of reporting and scheduling while being on-call for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in building/property maintenance or engineering experience.
• Solid working knowledge of HVAC systems/maintenance, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems and other building mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel)
• Flexibility to be on-call to respond to after-hours / weekend emergency requests.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including physically completing repairs such as painting, scraping rust from equipment, minor repairs, parking lot upkeep, and fixing signage.
• Maintain and check daily operating logs for the following air conditioning, fan units, graph charts, utility meters and general complaints.
• Ensure that building systems and tenant service requests are handled efficiently at the most economical cost.
• Demonstrate a clear understating of operating procedures and proper chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.
