Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Building Engineer to operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems in a large Class A office building under the guidance of the Chief Engineer. Location: Town Park Ravine, Kennesaw, GA.

The role emphasizes reliable building operations, tenant relations, safety compliance, and proactive maintenance to maximize system life and performance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering (HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, repair and maintenance and overall system design and application).
• Must possess valid DL.
• Must be able to work overtime on weekends and after hours for on-call or emergency situations if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains HVAC and MEP equipment under the direction of the Chief Engineer.
• Develops and maintains positive tenant relations through prompt, courteous response to tenant requests.
• Operates equipment as necessary within the guidelines set forth by the Chief Engineer to assure proper building functions.
• Maintains professional appearance and manner at all times while in the complex.
• Maintains calm demeanor in emergency situations.
• Assists in complying with all City, State and Federal safety and environmental laws, codes, standards and regulations.
• Performs general maintenance and limited operations of the HVAC and MEP equipment under the supervision and direction of the Chief Engineer.
• Assists in the ordering, stocking and inventory of parts and supplies as directed by the Chief Engineer.
• Induces water treatment chemicals in the heating and cooling systems at the proper amounts and times.
• Performs chemical analysis tests as set forth by the supervisor, reporting any abnormalities and substandard results
• Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on building and tenant mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
