Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Commercial Building Engineer in Tampa, FL to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and controls. You will support preventive maintenance programs, ensure code compliance, and help maintain energy efficiency across facilities.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, with 4+ years of building engineering experience and EPA certification preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and controls systems.
• Operate and monitor building HVAC/R and energy management systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and safety compliance.
• Inspect and test building systems to ensure safe operation and environmental conditions.
• Provide timely repairs and technical guidance to maintenance staff.
