Job summary

JLL is seeking a Building Engineer to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems at our Charlotte, NC site. You will specialize in one craft while cross-training in others, handling daily tasks and responding to issues to keep all systems compliant and reliable.

The role requires 2–4 years of building systems experience, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Ability to analyze operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other building systems and take corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical and life-safety systems.
• Monitor and adjust equipment for optimal performance.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with contractors for external work.
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and keep a clean work area.
• Record readings and trends to support system reliability.
