Job summary

JLL in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operation, inspection and light maintenance of building systems. This entry‑level role offers growth within the engineering team at a community site.

You will perform carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and painting tasks, complete work orders in CMMS, maintain tools and supplies, and participate in ongoing safety and training programs under supervision of engineers.

Qualifications

• Related work experience in repair/maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school, union training, military service or college desirable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable using ladders up to 30 feet.
• Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting and/or driving.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Perform general maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or painting.
• Complete assigned work orders in CMMS and maintain documentation.
• Maintain tools, parts, equipment and supplies in safe condition.
• Work under supervision of Operating Engineers and Chief Engineers.
• Participate in safety and operations training programs.
• Support on-call or emergency response situations.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.
