Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer in Santa Rosa to maintain and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety and HVAC. This swing shift role supports preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections onsite at a large tech company.

You will ensure code compliance, optimize energy use, and contribute to a safe, efficient facility. Strong MS Office skills and physical fitness are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or trade school with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses as required by local/state.
• Maintain mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs and moving around facilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and company safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program to ensure efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and keep a clean workspace.
• Review building system inspections to ensure design and environmental targets.
• Apply in-depth knowledge to solve complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and build consensus within CBRE teams.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities.
• Work within broad guidelines and explain difficult information.
