The Building Engineer at Desert Diamond Arena will assist with daily engineering tasks and during events, sports, entertainment, and concerts. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program, addressing work orders promptly, and collaborating with the Event Services department on show-related requests. The role involves monitoring building needs and maintaining the facility's repair and maintenance.

Essential Functions:

1. Complete pre-event checklists, activate elevators, and perform preventative checks to ensure venue readiness.
2. Perform operational tasks to maintain the facility on non-event days.
3. Respond to event calls for routine maintenance in restrooms, lighting, and other areas.
4. Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
5. Collaborate with operations and other departments on various projects.

Required Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. 2-4 years of related work experience.
3. Knowledge of facility operations and equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
4. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
5. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to lift, push, or pull 30 lbs unassisted.
7. Effective communication skills.
8. Strong organizational skills with multitasking ability.
9. Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
