Smith Seckman Reid, Inc in Tampa, FL is seeking a Building Enclosure Engineer-in-Training I (EIT I) to join our Building Enclosure Services team. You will support the evaluation, design, testing, and review of enclosure systems, including roofing, exterior walls, windows, waterproofing, and air/vapor control, under supervision.

Working with seasoned engineers, you will develop technical expertise in building science, gain experience on new construction and existing building assessments, and

Qualifications

MS or BS in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, or Bachelor of Architecture.
Demonstrated ability to learn basics of design and analysis within discipline.

Responsibilities

Apply engineering principles to roofing, walls, glazing, waterproofing, and air/vapor control systems.
Review submittals and shop drawings for conformance with documents.
Assist in developing and executing test procedures for enclosure systems.
Perform field visits to verify system performance and conduct testing.
