Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. seeks a Building Enclosure Engineer-in-Training I to support evaluation, design, testing, and review of building enclosure systems including roofing, exterior walls, windows, waterproofing, and air and moisture barriers.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, or Architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to learn design and analysis basics within own discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support design, testing, and review of building enclosure systems (roofing, walls, glazing, waterproofing, air/vapor barriers).
• Perform peer reviews of drawings/specifications; identify coordination/constructability issues.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for conformance with documents.
• Develop and execute test procedures for enclosure systems.
• Conduct construction site visits to verify performance and testing.
