LaBella Associates is seeking an experienced Full-Time Building Code Inspector to join our Building Code Services team in Connecticut. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with state and local building codes through field inspections of residential and commercial projects in Stamford and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years in construction or code enforcement, CT Building Official certification, and strong communication skills to convey findings to contractors

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, building inspection, or code enforcement.
• Current Connecticut State Building Official certification.
• Strong working knowledge of Connecticut State Building Codes and construction practices.
• Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel up to 50 miles for site inspections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial projects to verify compliance with Connecticut State Building Codes and local ordinances.
• Document inspection results and prepare clear, concise reports for project records.
• Communicate findings and code requirements to contractors, design professionals, and municipal officials; identify code violations and provide corrective actions.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal team members to support project schedules and deliverables.
