Job summary

Automated Solutions Group, a Division of Rieck Services, LLC in the Dayton area is seeking a Building Automation Technician. You will install, program, configure, and commission BAS and HVAC control systems to ensure peak performance across commercial and industrial facilities.

You will troubleshoot controllers, sensors, and networks, diagnose BACnet/Modbus issues, and support retrofit projects. The role offers training, competitive pay, a company vehicle or allowance, and strong career growth

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Building Automation or commercial HVAC.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Knowledge of BAS protocols such as BACnet and DDC controls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, configure, and commission BAS and HVAC control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair controllers, sensors, actuators, and networks.
• Perform start-up, point-to-point checkout, testing, and commissioning.
• Configure graphics, schedules, alarms, trends, and parameters.
• Diagnose BACnet, Modbus, MS/TP, IP, and other network issues.
• Integrate BAS with HVAC equipment (air handlers, VAVs, boilers, chillers, pumps, rooftops).
• Identify improvements to increase efficiency and performance.
• Support retrofit and expansion projects.
• Train customers on system operation and functionality.
• Build strong relationships through technical excellence and service.
