Ohio University in Athens, Ohio is seeking a Building Automation Systems Technician 2 to install, repair and maintain BAS controls under supervision. This role includes mentoring junior technicians, managing CMMS records, and following safety protocols.

The position offers full-time hours and a strong benefits package. The successful candidate will have 48 months of skilled experience with BAS controls, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level knowledge of air conditioning and heating technology.
• Experience with installation and maintenance of HVAC equipment and controls.
• Ability to read technical manuals and use laptops with software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Willingness to mentor lower-level technicians.

Responsabilités

• Install, repair, and maintain Building Automation System controls.
• Inspect equipment operation and troubleshoot problems.
• Provide direction, training and mentoring to junior staff.
• Perform inventory control and CMMS documentation.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and established procedures.
• Work schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
