Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Building Automation Technician to service BAS, controls instrumentation and other low-voltage systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, repair or replace elements of the controls system and adjust BAS programs to meet customer requirements.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree and 3+ years of industry experience, plus strong knowledge of building mechanical systems. On-call rotation, background checks and safety adherence are required.

Qualifications

• 4 years – Industry experience in building automation or related field.
• Strong knowledge of building mechanical systems.
• On-call rotation eligibility for emergencies.
• Ability to pass extensive security/background checks.
• Healthcare facilities management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform service on BAS and low-voltage systems at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and repair or replace BAS components.
• Adjust BAS parameters and programs to resolve issues.
• Read and interpret mechanical schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Pursue self-study and certifications to stay current.
• Support energy management and cyber-security efforts.
