Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Building Automation Technician in the United States to service BAS, low voltage systems, and related controls in customer facilities. You will interpret schematics, modify BAS programs, perform root-cause analyses, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role requires a technical degree and several years of field experience; on-call rotation is required and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• 4 years – Technical degree in electronics or electrical engineering, instrumentation, computer science, automation engineering or a combination thereof.
• 3 years – Industry experience; strong knowledge of building mechanical systems; healthcare facilities management is an asset.
• Must participate in an on-call rotation and pass extensive security/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform service on building automation system, controls instrumentation and low voltage systems in customer facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair or replace elements of the controls system; adjust BAS programs to resolve issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and communicate findings to the facilities management team.
