Job summary

Performance Automation Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Building Automation Systems Service Sales Engineer in San Diego to grow HVAC DDC controls service business with building owners and facility teams in commercial and government markets.

You will develop new service customers and expand existing accounts through maintenance agreements, system upgrades, retrofits, and repair work. Strong knowledge of BACnet/Modbus and control systems is required.

Qualifications

Experience reading mechanical and electrical drawings, including as-builts.
BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent.
At least 3 years of DDC controls experience in service roles.
Experience selling HVAC/MEP/DDC service or retrofit work.
Strong understanding of mechanical and control systems and troubleshooting legacy systems.
Familiarity with BACnet/Modbus protocols.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with building owners and facility teams.
Sell and renew preventive maintenance and service agreements.
Survey buildings to identify upgrade and energy savings opportunities.
Prepare estimates and proposals for service, repairs, and retrofits.
Coordinate with service technicians to address deficiencies.
Track proposals, renewal dates, and account activity; communicate with customers.
Ensure smooth transition from sales to service operations on contracted work.
