Mechanical Systems Company in Memphis, TN is seeking a Building Automation Leader to drive the BAS division, grow revenue, and oversee project execution with a hands-on leadership approach. This role focuses on scaling BAS capabilities, delivering high‑value opportunities, and building a strong team culture.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in building automation, strong BAS/DAC knowledge, and proven leadership. Reading schematics and customer-facing skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in building automation or related field.
• Strong BAS, DDC systems, and integration knowledge.
• Experience leading teams and delivering projects.
• Ability to read control diagrams, schematics, blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
• Valid driver's license with insurable record.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Construction, or Business preferred.
• Experience with BAS programming (Ladder Logic / Structured Text) a plus.
• Familiarity with modern automation technologies and platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and achieve BAS revenue, margin, and backlog targets.
• Lead and close complex, high-value automation opportunities.
• Develop strategic account plans and pursue new market opportunities.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Lead, coach, and develop BAS engineers, programmers, and technicians.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, pipelines, and CRM data.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company processes.
• Provide technical leadership for complex systems.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams for smooth project delivery.
• Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
