Job summary

Baker Group is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to provide start-up, programming, and commissioning for building automation systems. You will collaborate with design and operation engineers, read SOOs, write ladder logic, and validate control sequences across HVAC and electrical systems.

You will mentor Jr. technicians, lead medium to large projects, and help develop graphics and dashboards while ensuring QA/QC and safety standards on construction sites.

Qualifications

• Four to seven years of automation-related field experience.
• Associate degree in electronic, technology, or automation related field or equivalent on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Start-up of microprocessor-based control components including PLC and DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, transducers, and related components.
• Read and interpret Sequence of Operations (SOO) and apply to program logic.
• Read/write ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming.
• Mentor and oversee Automation Technician I and II.
• Create automation system graphics and dashboards.
