Job summary

Baker Group in Louisville, KY is seeking a skilled control systems technician to support start-up, checkout, and programming for building automation systems. You will work with microprocessor-based controllers, sensors, actuators, and transducers and ensure proper wiring, grounding, and power distribution.

You will upload and modify control software, configure BACnet networking, and map points into supervisory controllers.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in electronic/automation fields.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with Windows Office; SQL knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Start-up of microprocessor-based control components including DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and transducers.
• Point-to-point checkout of wiring and components for grounding, polarity, and power.
• Upload/download and modification of control software and programs.
• Configure BACnet networking functions (IP, subnet, MAC, instance numbers).
• Map control points into supervisory controllers and add alarms/history extensions.
• Create graphics and dashboards for automation systems.
