Job summary

EMCOR Services Aircond in Charlotte, NC seeks a Controls Technician (Service & Projects) to install, program, and repair building automation systems for commercial and industrial clients. The role involves project work and ongoing service, with occasional overnight travel within NC and a Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule.

You will work with BACnet networks, non-proprietary controls, and field devices, ensuring project milestones, safety, and client satisfaction are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in building automation or HVAC controls.
• BACnet experience with Distech/Tridium/Schneider systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, integrate, and repair building management systems on project sites.
• Perform service calls and planned maintenance for BMS.
• Troubleshoot controls, networks, and field devices; load programs to field controllers.
• Maintain positive customer relations and document all work.
• Plan, schedule, and communicate tasks to optimize productivity and reporting.
