Job summary

P1 Service, LLC. is seeking a dynamic Controls Engineer for our Lenexa office to support automation and controls projects. You will develop submittal packages, coordinate parts procurement, and maintain project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

You’ll also ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance, while advancing your skills through industry training and professional organizations. You will create control sequences, GUI interfaces, and participate in BMS integrations with

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college with HVAC certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of HVAC controls experience.
• Experience with logic programming, data networking and cybersecurity, and/or graphical design.

Responsibilities

• Develop project submittal packages and control drawings for building automation projects.
• Procure components and equipment, ensuring timely delivery per schedule.
• Develop and implement control sequences and programming per specs.
• Create and maintain GUIs and visualizations for monitoring building systems.
• Support integration of BMS with third-party equipment and networked devices.
• Assist with troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
