Facility Maintenance Management; Shift Lead
Job Functions:
- Change batteries as needed for production, sanitation, and maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all batteries as scheduled.
- Perform repairs on batteries, including cables, connectors, cells, and cases.
- Perform minor repairs to battery charging equipment (cables, connectors, etc.) as needed.
- Respond to and assist in hazardous cleanup from accidents involving a battery.
- Test battery performance using test equipment.
- Maintain a 5S work environment at all times.
- Maintain accurate battery logs.
- Handle all incoming and outgoing batteries, including preparation and documentation.
- Assist with repairs of Fire Protection/Suppression systems if required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Abilities:
- Operate work-related equipment and tools (hand and power), including powered equipment, forklifts, man-lifts, pallet jacks, and testing equipment.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Hold a valid DOT license to drive company vehicles.
- Interact professionally with all warehouse employees.
- Perform repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements for maintenance, repair, and service tasks.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity, coordination, and balance to work at ground level and in high places.
- Maintain mental alertness for safe and accurate work completion.
- Follow company and distribution center policies regarding work orders, purchase requisitions, inventories, and safety labels on hazardous materials.
Working Conditions:
- Potential hazards related to equipment and materials used for job functions.
- Exposure to high-voltage equipment, utility provider equipment, welding equipment, backup generators, and switch gear.
- Possible contact with lubricants and solvents.
- Work environment temperature ranges from -20°F to +80°F with appropriate PPE.
- Work tasks may require working at heights from 20 to 40 feet from finished floor levels.
